Knowing what to bring when traveling can be daunting. But, if you bring these 5 things, you’re sure to have a more relaxed and enjoyable traveling experience.
Wetwipes start the list off because they are the most useful in a variety of situations. When you’re getting off the plane, they are a great way to freshen up and wipe the “plane smog” off of your face and hands. They’re also great when you want to avoid the terror of running out of toilet paper in a foreign land where indicting you need TP is nearly impossible.

2. Plastic baggies
Such a simple thing can make your journey so much better. Plastic baggies are great for wet clothes, dirty laundry, or garbage. They’re also great for keeping your toiletries in so if they explode, your clothes won’t be covered in shampoo.
3. Reusuable water bottle
Whether you’re traveling domestic or international, having a reusuable water bottle will save you some cash and keep you hydrated. Go one step further and get one with a filter so you can fill up just about anywhere.

4. Microfiber beach towel
Seems like a useless item to have, but it’s another one of those items that are great in a variety of situations. You may need it after a shower, to use on the beach, to dry off after being caught in a rainstorm, or for an impromptu picnic in a park. Since the towel is microfiber it will dry quickly and it’s compact enough to store in any carry on.

5. Blowup neck pillow and eye mask
I always thought a neck pillow and eye mask were unnecessary and boujee. But, I finally broke down and got my own and I do not regret it one bit. Having a blow up neck pillow rather than one of the plush ones allows me to travel more efficiently and not have to worry about whether I remembered it or not. I tuck it safely into my carry-on bag and have blown it up and deflated it a million times with no problem. The eye mask was actually an added bonus when I purchase the neck pillow. At first I thought I wouldn’t need it, but it’s proven to be great on planes and when waiting for planes. It really blocks out the light and gives your eyes and body a chance to rest and relax.
